She Votes empowers girls in middle school and high school to become future activists, voters, and envision themselves as candidates for elected office. Participants learn about the impact of politics on their lives by engaging in hands-on activities focused on the history of women in politics, the voting process, and leadership development. Morgan Cephas, Democratic Nominee for State Representative in the 192nd Legislative District and the Honorable Sheila Woods-Skipper, President Judge of the Court of Common Pleas participated in a panel to discuss their career paths, their role in the political process, and the importance of women in politics. The event culminated in a mock presidential election.
