About Career Exploration Day

Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey works with corporations to provide middle and high school girls with opportunities to experience a wide range of career possibilities. By hosting a Career Exploration Day, your company and employees will help connect girls to the many career opportunities that exist in your industry while encouraging them to pursue the education necessary to achieve those careers. This year, we intend to reach hundreds of girls through our summer and fall career exploration series and we need your participation.

We are currently seeking companies interested in hosting a Career Exploration Day. Join us and help us inspire girls to dream big and achieve their goals!

Please join us in hosting a group of girls from Girls Inc. of Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey for a career exploration experience that provides exposure to your work environment and corporate culture. Girls Inc. will serve as the liaison between your company and the girls. In addition, the Girls Inc. staff can suggest options for the day’s events and activities in collaboration with your company’s volunteers.

Sample Career Exploration Day Agenda:

10:00 a.m. Students arrive

10:15 a.m. Welcoming remarks

10:30 a.m. Career-related panel presentation

11:00 a.m. Girls introduced to mentors and leave for job shadow/facilities tour or project

12:15 p.m. Lunch

12:45 p.m. Q & A and closing remarks

1:00 p.m. Girls depart
