As A Parent
  • Read to your daughter - it's never too late.
  • Talk and sing with your daughter.
  • Teach your daughter the value of learning.
  • Take your daughter everywhere.
  • Talk to your daughter using grown-up language; she will let you know if she doesn't understand.
  • Honor the female spirit.
  • Give your daughter age-appropriate responsibilities.

  • Read to a girl. Listen to her read!
  • Get involved - a girl is more likely to succeed in school if a caring adult is involved in her progress.
  • Learn to love noise! Make your home a place where girls can come to have fun, play, dance, laugh, and sing!
  • Talk with a girl about her goals and dreams. Encourage big dreams!
  • Offer to baby-sit younger ones so Mother and Daughter can do something special together.
