Inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold
The Ambassador Club is a leadership program designed to prepare the next generation of future leaders with the knowledge, skills, and attitudes necessary to be successful. This program is open to teenage girls in the Greater Philadelphia region.
The Ambassador Club - Leadership and Community Action program is focused on developing leadership skills for teenage girls. The group meets for several hours two times a month. There are four modules to the program.
First, skill development in public speaking, essay writing, developing a personal brand, college preparation and etiquette.
Second, Girls go through a problem assessment process that helps them learn about a community issue, and then develop and conduct a community action project.
Third, the ambassadors will serve as mentors for 9-11 year old girls in another Girls Inc program, STEM Gems.
Fourth, they participate in monthly opportunities to represent Girls Inc. at important public events in New York, Washington and Philadelphia. A few of these events this year included Take your daughter to Congress Day, Fortunes Most Powerful Women Summit, Microsoft Store Opening, Women in Cable Television’s Annual Fundraiser and the Girls Inc. National Luncheon.
To register contact, Simone Dennis, Girls Inc. Ambassador Club Coordinator at firstname.lastname@example.org or 215-735-7775.
Our ambassadors will develop their own voice to advocate for themselves and others.
They will have the confidence and skills to speak with and benefit from interactions with leaders in government, scientific and corporate sectors.
The ambassadors will have the commitment to inspire the next generation of girls by serving as role models.
They will have the empathy to appreciate social challenges and the skills to develop and implement plans to address those challenges.
